What's in a name?

After some debate we have finally decided on a name. It was a choice between Bryson and Landon. We liked both but agreed that we liked and preferred Landon. He will be taking my middle name. I would formally like to introduce Landon Elliot Tetzlaff. He had two "snip" operations done this morning. First was the "boy" procedure and he also was born being tongue tied. Both procedures went well and Landon was happy to be back with mom and dad. Mom and dad McNeely are at the hospital again this morning and Jay (Brooke's coworker) is taking photos of mom and baby as I type this. Enjoy the pics of Landon now that he is two days old!

It's a boy!!

Brooke and I are so proud and happy to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy. He was born on his due date of May 4th at 12:27 am. He weighed in at 7 pounds 12 ounces and measured in at 20.5 inches. Mom and baby are both doing wonderful and is such a precious gift. The birth took place at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. As I write this we have our first official family visitors Mom & Dad McNeely. All the nurses and our doctor agree that he is quite the handsome little guy. Brooke and I are so happy we decided not to find out the gender because the "surprise" made the experience! We will be debating and deciding on a name this afternoon. We expect to have quite a few visitors today and want to make sure we find time for mommy and baby to get some sleep. Brooke and I again are so happy and excited for our newest family member and it's our pleasure to share some first baby photos with everyone.

Love,
Robin, Brooke, and Baby T

Munchie Posting

So our other "baby" was feeling left out. Munchie will turn 3 years old in August and is becoming such a well behaved girl. We are looking forward to how she interacts with the little one and we think she will get quite jealous. She gets so much attention from Brooke and I on a daily basis and don't know how she will deal with the change. She enjoys spending time in the nursery and always is trying to steal baby toys to chew on. Munchie might be small in stature but has become a great guard dog. She wakes up to strange sounds in the night and will walk around the lower level of our home and growl. We expect she'll be very protective of the baby and have been doing our best to prepare her. We tell her nightly baby will pull on her ears, tail, and eventually will try to ride on her like a horse. I wouldn't be surprised if she sleeps occasionally in the nursery right by the crib, after she learns that is where baby sleeps. I also expect Munchie to follow me upstairs when baby is crying and want to sit with us in the glider. Thanks for reading and enjoy the Munchie modeling pics!

Additional Nursery Photos

We wanted to add some additional photos of the newly completed nursery. This weekend we added some decorative shelving, mirrored box, and jungle themed accessories. Also included are pictures of the portable crib in our master bedroom and our newly purchased bouncer and swing. Thanks for looking and the countdown is at one month!

Nursery Photos

Here are a couple pictures of the nursery. Clearly we have been watching a lot of HGTV. Brooke is a great decorator but I actually picked the colors and she approved!

Couples Baby Shower at Dave and Busters

After we pooled all of our tickets we walked away with a stuffed pug and teddy!

Ski ball at its finest!

Beautiful cake, and it tasted amazing too!

Baby bottle beer race, I promise there is only diet coke in mine! I think Robin was the big winner of this race, although he may have cheated!

Old college buddy Jolene, who I hadn't seen in forever, and her husband Robert.
It was a real treat to have them at the shower; it had been too many years since we caught up!
