Baby's First Christmas

We want to start by saying we hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Landon’s first Christmas was spent at home in Dallas with Grandma and Grandpa McNeely and Brooke’s brother Brandon who flew in from Oklahoma. Landon was very curious about all the presents under the tree and spent plenty of time putting the presents in his mouth and trying to open them. In the weeks prior to Christmas Landon had started to really crawl around the house and also how to pull himself up on the coffee table, etc. We had a great Christmas and as you might expect Landon was spoiled rotten. Between both sets of grandparents along with Brooke and I, Landon got a bunch of new clothes and more toys then we have room for. Shockingly we got snow on Christmas Eve which marked the first white Christmas for the Dallas area in 25 years. On Christmas morning we webcam’d with Grandma and Grandpa which was great. This allowed them to see him open his presents from them and also for Landon to show them how he can scoot and stand up on his own. Have a great and safe New Year’s Eve and look for a new blog update come 2010.

Can't stop, won't stop....growing....

Landon is now six months old, and we are having so much fun being parents. He heads to the doctor next week Wednesday to get his current stats (weight, length, head size, etc.). He had a great time dressing as Batman for Halloween but we enjoyed eating his candy. Munchie and him are getting along well and he thinks she is so funny. He is really active with flailing hands and feet and often kicks and hits her. He has spent the past couple weekends watching Oklahoma St. Cowboys with mom on Saturdays and watching the Packers on Sundays with dad. Next weekend we are running in the Dallas Run for the Homeless 5k. Brooke will be running with a coworker Laura and I will be pushing Landon in the jogger. Landon is now wearing mostly clothing that is 6-9 months and will be moving to size 3 diapers in a week or so. We are heading to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving and cannot wait to see the family. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoy the new pictures. Have a good weekend and GO PACK GO!!

Time flies as the baby grows!

Landon is five and a half months old now, and the weeks are flying by. We have had a busy month! Grandma and Grandpa T came to visit; they watched Landon on two week days instead of him going to day care, I think this was a treat for both of them. Landon grabs for everything, and currently is trying to grab the computer....he loves to bang on the keys. The jumper is his most fun toy at the moment, he can really get going in it. In a few of the pictures below you will notice we started our first round of solid/baby food, a mix of green veggie puree, courtesy of Gerber of course. It has been quite a challenge! He practically looks like he has bathed in baby food by the time we get done, for now it is cute....

Landon flips over on his tummy all the time, but he still hasn't figured out how to flip back onto his back. I'm sure that will happen soon. When he is on his tummy though he does all the right motions for crawling, so I am sure this is only a matter of weeks away too.

Even though he is too young to do any trick-o-treating this year, we still bought him a Halloween outfit and we can't wait to get him dressed up. Check back in a couple of weeks for those pictures, I promise they will be super cute.

We braved the cold last week to go to the Texas State Fair. I have always wanted to go ever since we moved here, and now we can say we have gone....nothing special, typical fair, and the weather was cold and grey.

Landon is mesmerized by Munchie, he can't take his eyes off her and sometimes when she runs around the room or barks he laughs SO HARD, he thinks she is hilarious. Then it makes us laugh and its all around good cheap entertainment. I think when he is older, Munch and him are going to be best buds.

Thats it for now, will post Halloween pictures in a few weeks.
